Town Works is deliberately thin. It is not a dispatch system, a bidding marketplace, or a feed. It’s the paperwork, payment, and memory layer underneath neighborhood commerce that already happens.

   Find

   You already know how you find people — a post in a local group, a recommendation from a friend, a flyer on a corkboard. Town Works doesn't change that. It gives the person you found a page.

2. 02

   Agree

   One of you opens a work agreement: what the job is, when, and for how much. Send the link to the other person. They accept it, or propose changes first.

3. 03

   Pay

   Bank transfer, card, or cash. Bank transfer costs the least — under 1% — and is the best fit once you know and trust the person you're paying. Cash costs nothing and still counts toward the record, if you both confirm it.

   Confirm

   Both people mark the job done. That's what turns a payment into a transaction record — evidence, not just a receipt.

   Build trust

   Completed jobs, repeat customers, and neighbors who vouch for you accumulate into a profile that's about evidence, not star ratings.
